General Asbestos Awareness Seminars /half or whole day
The Control of Asbestos Regulations (CAR) 2006 require mandatory training for anyone liable to be exposed to asbestos at work. Our seminars are designed to meet the requirements for all maintenance operatives, plumbers, electricians, carpenters, joiners, cable installers and so on. Such employees or contractors are required to renew this general training annually.
BOHS Asbestos Proficiency Modules
P401, P402, P403, P404, P405 and 1 day Refresher training
These are recognised professional qualifications within the Health & Safety industry with a formal written and practical examination. ABP also provides BOHS with practical assessors for these modules.
Asbestos Removal Operatives and Supervisors Training /and 1 day Refresher training/
These courses are designed for employees involved in the removal of asbestos and the supervision of such works. This training is a requirement of the CAR 2006. ABP Associates Ltd are UKATA (The United Kingdom Asbestos Training Association) registered member. UKATA has been created to build on the previous work of the Asbestos Training Providers’ Working Group. It works with HSE to establish best practice in all aspects of the delivery of asbestos training, including licensed, non-licensed and asbestos awareness training.
All training is conducted either at our training centre in Southampton or at our clients’ premises.
Face Fit Testing
Under the COSHH 2002 Regulations, employers have a duty to provide face fit testing for their employees. Face fit testing is a method for checking that a tight fitting face piece matches the person`s facial features and seals adequately to the wearer`s face. Applied Polarised Light Microscopy
An introductory course in polarised light microscopy and particle identification. No prior knowledge of polarised light microscopy is required. The course is practical with every student using a microscope throughout the five days.
Other Health and Safety Training
